Ok, so Potty Training in 1 week was a bit "optimistic"...

to say the least. Cute pics though! I am happy to say that aside from the occasional night-time accident, Alex is indeed fully potty-trained!!! He's been day-trained since before his birthday and was almost fully night-trained until we went to Alabama for Vin's S.O.S. (Squadron Officer School) for 5 wks. in July/August.

He had a few accidents throughout because of the time change and the oddball schedule due to the fact that we were all in 1 room with a kitchenette and a walk-through closet that you had to walk through to get to the bathroom.

If you're someday speaking with someone and they're reminiscing about the time their children slept in a closet, don't jump to conclusions...they were probably at S.O.S. and their children were small enough to sleep in a Pack 'N Play in the closet so that Dad (or Mom in some cases) could do his/her homework and the non-military spouse could stay up into the wee hours proof-reading paper after paper. ;)

We had an ok time in AL. It was super HOT and HUMID...of course. But all in all, not a bad experience.

The BEST part was getting to visit with Vin's brother Andy, Andy's wife April, and their 2 boys, Ace (born a month before Alex) and sweet baby Alijah born this past April!!! And Grandma and Grandpa Lau came down to visit too so it was great! We even got to see Uncle Tim and his Sweet Girl, Penny, at the Baptism of Precious Alijah! We were so blessed to see everyone a few different weekends in the middle of all the S.O.S. stuff!

We got back to CA at the end of August and it took a few weeks of adjusting, but Alex got used to everything and is back to just the occasional accidents, mostly if we forget to cut off his liquid supply by 5:30 or 6 pm.

Yay Alex!!!

It's SUPER GREAT to be D-O-N-E with all things diaper/pull-up!!! HOORAY!!!

And if I 'forget' and call Alex, "My Baby" he 'reminds' me that he is a Big Boy because he goes onthe Potty! Fine, fine! But he really is and always will be MY BABY!!! ;)
