We started off the day going to our church at Crossroads in Vacaville, CA. We went to the 2nd service and then headed home to give the boys a nap and I needed to make 2 dozen cupcakes for the cupcake walk later at Crossroads for the Fall-A-Palooza. What a fun thing that is at our church. The kids get to play games for candy, there are go-carts, and they even converted the sanctuary this year into a Bouncy House playground! Woozers!
We went trick-or-treating and this year was Alex's 1st time and he did great. He caught on really quickly thanks to the Squadron trick-or-treating on Friday and he didn't try to give any of his candy back today. In fact, I had to tell him more than once to take 1 piece as he grabbed a handful a couple of times and I had to sheepishly give the people back their candy. Never knew how much a 2 yr. old could grab but when it's candy, all bets are off!
We hit about 10 houses and I decided that was enough candy to last them till next year as many of our neighbors were super generous and gave them handfuls anyway. Plus all the candy they got at church just before and on Friday. We have Snickers bars coming out our wazoos!
They had a lot of fun at home helping Daddy hand out candy too and even said "trick-or-treat" TO the trick-or-treaters. So cute!
Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!
